Manuel Bolaño was born in Barcelona, but raised in Galicia. In 2002 he moved back to Barcelona, and graduated from the Felicidad Duce Superior School of Design and Fashion in 2007, where he won the prize for the Best Collection of his final year in the Breac & Butter Barcelona fashion show.

He has participated in Pasarela Abierta Murcia, and won awards in fashion contests like Young Creators of Madrid, the Galician Fashion Festival Noovo in Santiago de Compostela, Murcia Joven and was selected for the Generalitat of Catalonia’s Projecte Bressol.

Since 2008, he has presented his collections at 080 Barcelona Fashion and has won the Award for the Best Women’s Collection twice: in summer 2011 with «Something of me» and summer 2012 with «How to repair a broken heart».
